We were looking for a Christian child birth class and God lead us to New Creation Birth Services. Right from the first day, we were overwhelmed by the lively and godly atmosphere. We enjoyed the fellowship and the half-hour of mediation (Breathing practice) at the end of each class. The After-Class activities made me learn a lot about my body and delivery. The postpartum visit was helpful and encouraging. I would truly recommend New Creation Birth services to anyone looking for child birth classes or doula services.

The birth class with Stephanie was such a help to us! It better prepared us for what to expect during labor, as well as how to prepare beforehand to better our chances of having the natural birth experience we want.  I also greatly appreciated her perspective on God's plan for our bodies and how He intricately made our bodies to deliver babies; I know I took a lot of comfort in that.  The class was very interesting and the 3 hours flew by every week!

Stephanie taught our birth class before Beckham was born and it was one of the two most beneficial things we did to prepare for his birth (the other one is hire a doula. I've said it once I'll say it a thousand times: HIRE A DOULA.) Stephanie's way of teaching was a combination of science/the physiological process of birth, different ways to cope with labor (we were given many tools and felt so confident that SOMETHING would help, and I was so grateful for those tools when they did in fact help me in labor), encouragement through scripture that God used to calm nerves and push away thoughts of worry and insecurity, humor (because this lady is hilarious and just has a way with words), and faith that is tangible. You learn about how to be confident in the beautiful design that God created birth to be.

We can't say enough wonderful things about this class, Stephanie, and New Creation Birth Services. This is also who we hired our doula and placenta encapsulator through and all of the women in this group are gems. They have doulas, childbirth educators, birth photographers, a placenta encapsulator, and now a nutritionist. So many wonderful resources. They serve people of all belief systems and their love for their clients mirrors the love of Christ. Thankful for these ladies!

I had the privilege of taking childbirth education classes with Stephanie Joyner and it is so true to see the grace of the Lord when you need it most. I remember being in the car on the way to the birthing center and my body was pushing Obed further down and I said, "I don't want to do this anymore". I was to the point where the pain was so real I would have been fine not meeting my baby. That's when all I could do was cry out to God to have some rest before the next contraction. And I got it! It was like the calm before the storm. A few minutes of rest before the next contraction ripped through my body, but His grace was ever present.

After my birth and my recovery, I remember thinking, "I don't know how people do this without the Lord." There was such a sweet closeness I received from that trying time and such a purpose to it all.

Triangle area mommas to be- I can't tell you how much I love this lady and how thankful I am for taking her class!

I ended up having an emergency c-section with Charlie. It was everything I didn't want for my birth story- BUT during her class Stephanie told us that we need to be prepared that things may not go according to our plan. She told me that God is sovereign over every birth and if something were to happen that I didn't want I needed to have peace in that and peace that I had done everything I could to have a natural birth.

So in the middle of being taken to the hospital via ambulance and the craziness of preparing for emergency surgery I remembered that and had a peace that I can't even explain! It was such a blessing because Marty was so worried that I would be crushed but when he saw that I was peaceful in the midst of chaos he was able to relax a little too.
